Delirium of Ashes

Born from shadow and cinder, Delirium of Ashes is a death/doom metal collective formed in Northern Italy in 2017. The band merges the visceral intensity of death metal with the bleak, melancholic atmosphere of doom, forging a sound that is both destructive and cathartic. Their lyrics delve into madness as a process of rebirth, death as purification, and fire as a symbol of spiritual transformation. The name Delirium of Ashes embodies this cycle — surrendering to delirium and rising anew from one’s own ashes. Musically, the band blends crushing slow riffs, cavernous growls, and atmospheric textures. Their songs often shift between suffocating stillness and sudden outbursts of rage, evoking a sense of inevitable decay. With their debut album, Echoes Beneath the Pyre (2019), Delirium of Ashes defined their identity: a requiem for humanity consumed by its own delirium.
